We looked into this, and this did indeed happen because we recertified the drivers last week. They were automatically published to Windows Update as a part of this process.
The next version of the USBXpress package will be v6. Because of the small incompatibilities between USBXpress v3. It may take a few days to propagate through the Windows release server, but the automatic updates should no longer occur once this happens. At that point, you should be able to uninstall the driver and resinstall USBXpress v3. We do not plan on adding USBXpress to the Windows Update system in the future to prevent exactly these types of issues from happening, and we apologize for the inconvenience this caused.
